Who we are

VotesforSchools provides weekly resources to schools, which include lessons, lesson plans, assemblies, curriculum evidence maps, and free training for all staff, thus facilitating conversation and debate around current affairs. The content is expertly put together by our team of teachers to meet and evidence the curriculum requirements of British Values, The Prevent Duty, SMSC, the UNCRC and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our expert team also creates bespoke resources for a number of groups and organisations.

"It is more important than ever that young people understand their local labour market to enable them to make informed decisions about their next steps and their futures. Oxfordshire has an exciting labour market, with transformation technologies, life sciences, space and the creative sector leading the way in terms of innovation, alongside a strong visitor economy and sectors such as construction, health and retail. It was a pleasure to work with Votes for Schools who have a collaborative approach which ensures that the needs of their clients are met, along with using their expertise in how to communicate effectively with the student audience. The lesson resources which Votes for Schools created for us bring the labour market to life in a truly innovative way that will ensure that the aspirations of Oxfordshire’s young people are raised, and that they can feel positive about their future in the county."
