Power to Young People: A chance to make their voices heard

We gave our voters an additional opportunity to be heard by holding our inaugural Youth Advisory Board meeting in early October. We were joined by young people from around the country - via video call! - to hear about their thoughts on current issues and VotesforSchools. To take a closer look at our participating schools or to find out how to join, check out the "Meet the Team" page on our website!

Discussion points included topics they would like to discuss further (Coronavirus, Black Lives Matter, the environment and suppression of the media); what measure they think could be taken to further amplify student voice, and what their vision for the future of the Youth Advisory Board is.

We are looking forward to the next meeting already!
