Embedding Fundamental British Values through meaningful discussion
Fundamental British Values help pupils understand democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance. They prepare young people to participate positively in school, society and later life.
But how do we actually embed these values? Pupils need regular opportunities to discuss real-life issues, hear different viewpoints, think critically, express their own opinions and experience democracy in action.
